The evidence is overwhelming that Pope Pius XII instructed his clergy during WWII to keep their heads down; not to get involved in politics; and that the survival of the church was the only thing that mattered.
Conversely, there is a lot of evidence of instances when Pius could have helped Jews without endangering himself and did not lift a finger.
One would think that the present pope has more morally compelling issues to address, rather than pushing this undeserved sainthood for Pius.
