The sanctions won't work! Period. Why isn't anything been done to stop Hamas from firing missiles into Israel daily? No punishment there. I'm for extreme sanctions and not for long delays whether created by Iran or those who will impose the sanctions. The only thing that Iran understands (if anything) is outside pressure and we have not done enough yet to bring the Government of Iran to its knees. Unfortunately, the innocent Iranian people suffer under these conditions. Perhaps, the Iranian Government will fall because of its own doings when the people have had enough.

There needs to be an international effort to abolish nuclear weapons. Anything less than that will spell the end of human excistance on this planet. The rats and the cockroaches will survive.

sanctions will probably not work. especially when there always are exceptions built into the package as it is with russia. however, because this administration has been dragging its feet for a year and a half, and has rescinded israel's permission to fly over areas under u s jurisdiction, thus crippling its ability to refuel, one doesn't know what may happen. i suppose we need to pray for the messiah, and a change in the composition of our congress, until we can elect a president who knows history , understands it. and is not blinded by his affinities and ideological biases.

Why doesn't that "great humanitarian body" mis-called the United Nations do anything about one of its members (IRAN) stating that it wants to obliterate a fellow member state (ISRAEL). Can it be that a majority of member states feel that such an action deserves praise rather than sanction?; and if so, what does this say about this organization?

The new sanctions are insufficient. How long are we going to permit Iran to dictate to the world? They appear to be playing awaiting game to get accomplished what they need to do while they stall the world. They appear to be dictating to us rather than the UN dictating to them.

I am inclined to vote "a military strike against Iran" but I cannot in good conscience sacrafice our young people to face another WAR. Until Iran is irivocably commited to commiting suicide I am for meaningful sactions.

Israel needs to convince the US to make a major military strike against Iran! Sanctions have not worked against North Korea and they will not work against Iran.
